Doki Doki Literature Club has a great storyline and interesting characters, but the best thing about it are the unexpected twists. This game will turn surprisingly dark when you least expect it, hence the reason it starts with the warning that it’s not suitable for “children and those who are easily disturbed”. If you think you can handle it, then this is one dating sim you don’t want to miss. While psychological horror games that break the fourth wall had existed for years, the release ofDoki Doki Literature Club! In 2017 helped bring the concept to mainstream audiences, which heavily impacted many recent horror games. The game follows a protagonist who gets invited to the literature club at their school.
Many readers adore the series for its world-building surrounding the culture of the faeries and other magical beings inhabiting its world. A dating sim inspired by ACOTAR, as it is often called, could delve even deeper into the courts and their magical aesthetics. A society with many rules, regulations, and social standards surrounding courtship and marriage would make an excellent setting for a dating sim.
Just saying but edwina’s track is an absolute masterpiece I would love to play this on the piano. A deep and mysterious story with comedic, romantic, and dark undertones. When you’re not trying to pick the right dialogue options to get the best ending, Vincent finds himself in a 3D puzzle where he must climb to the top to survive.
It’s only when you decide to stick with it and keep exploring new characters, new interactions, and new storylines that the beauty of storytelling really begins to shine. So the plan currently is to release each part individually, then combine them all into one big “dating sim” and drop it all as one game. I don’t really want to give a timeframe for completion just yet, but I can say that I’m hoping to release an “alpha” version of the Mahiru chapter pretty soon, although it would only consist of the first day of content. I’m assuming I’ll be posting it to Itch.io like other VNs I’ve seen, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

Persona shared many of the same gameplay mechanics as its parent series, until its entries since its third title developed new and exclusive functions.
